My Active Projects
With versatility, a multi-disciplinary background, and diversified interests, I find myself engaged in many different projects.
Here's a glimpse at what I'm working on right now...
Independent Consultant
I launched Mac's Impact so that I could pursue my passion, my way.
I am passionate about helping organizations reach their full potential, and maximizing their impact.
Mac's Impact Consulting LLC allows me the flexibility to take on projects that I am passionate about, supporting organizations that are changing the world.
Lecturer | CU Boulder Dept of Environmental studies
I'm teaching a class on how companies measure and report their impact on the world.
Masters of the Environment Program | Corporate Sustainability Reporting Standards, Frameworks, and Strategy
- Developing curriculum for course on the evolving ESG reporting landscape, including materiality assessments, climate risk & opportunity, and relevant global and local regulations (US, EU, and Global), standards (SASB, GRI, ISSB - IFRS, EFRAG - ESRS), frameworks (TCFD, TNFD, CDP, CSRD), and initiatives (such as B Lab, UNGC, RE100, SBTi)
- Co-teaching 3 credit course weekly, hosts office hours, and coordinates planning with co-lecturer for Fall Semester 2025
STRATEGIC VISIONING | MAC'S IMPACT
I'm working with small businesses to develop a strong foundation, create short- and long- term plans, develop meaningful workflows, and execute their visions.
CLIENT SPOTLIGHT | Kasey's Co Jewelry Business
An entrepreneur needed support in officially launching their business and creating short- and long-term plans for maintaining the company. Our work began in July of 2025 and to date we have:
- completed a strategic visioning workshop to determine the heart of their work,
- built a brandkit including company logo, 5 custom brand identity icons, ~50 general brand icons (3 sets with 12-18 color options each), detailed style guide (including fonts, colors, motifs, and other preferences), and a 20 page template slide deck
- prepared semi-annual report presentation to the Board of Directors including mission & vision statements, short- and long- term plans, administrative & marketing overview, website walk-through, and pitch for next round of investor funding
Board Member & Events Lead | Space Pride
I'm building the community of LGBTQIA+ people within space.
Diversity of thought, experience, and identities is critical to building a positive future for all. Space Pride aims to promote representation of LGBTQ+ individuals in the space sector.
I joined the Space Pride team in October of 2024 and now lead events for the global non-profit, including monthly virtual events and in-person events.
Contributing Researcher | Celestial Commons
I'm bringing the voices of everyday people into the space conversation.
In an attempt to confront the disconnect between macro-level space policy and the lives of everyday people, I am providing strategic input and guidance, as well as technical writing, research, and analytics, for the Citizens’ Space Policy Initiative.
Much of our current work is centered around gathering insights and testimonials that speak to how space impacts people's lives every day. We're calling this work The Interview Effect: Building a Participatory Citizens’ Space Policy at Street Level.
Content Strategy Director | Chasing Space Podcast
I'm spreading awareness of what's going on in today's space industry.
The Chasing Space Podcast engages listeners beyond those who work in space. Capturing a broad audience, while featuring some of today's most impactful players, the podcast brings the abstract topics of space down to earth.
I joined the Chasing Space team in order to support their journey to grow their audience and further spread the good word of space.
BATON TWIRLING COACH & ADVOCATE
I continue to engage with the sport of baton twirling - through coaching and more!
I picked up a baton when I was 4 years old and haven't stopped twirling. I've competed in state & national championships, and coached athletes to do the same.
I'm also secretary of the Colorado Baton Council, where I support the organization in further growing the sport within the state. These days, this often puts be behind the microphone, running the competitions - something my own coach used to do when I competed!
SPEAKER
I'm always excited to share my expertise.
I've shared my work on global stages, in classrooms, and 1:1 - and I'll continue to do so.

What I've Done
I'm so grateful that I've had the opportunity to do many different things in my career... and this is only the beginning!
Check out some of my past experiences below:
Environmental Sustainability Entreprenuer
I honed my entrepreneurship skills and collaborated with other sustainable ventures in the Watson Institute's Environmental Sustainability Entreprenuership Program
Through this program, I gained tools, mentorship, and an incredible network to help scale the impact of my venture Mac's Impact Consulting — all while learning from facilitators, mentors, and speakers with deep expertise in environmental sustainability and entrepreneurship.
DELOITTE | ESG & SUSTAINABILITY SERVICES
As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, I guided clients in measuring & reporting their ESG impacts.
January 2022 - April 2024 | Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) & Sustainability Services, Audit & Assurance
The heart of our work was in developing and managing short- and long-term ESG and Climate-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as related processes, controls, and governance structures for enhanced corporate sustainability.
In addition to client engagements, proposals, and internal strategic work, I had the opportunity to participate in a number of social impact initiatives:
- Championed Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) efforts within Deloitte, serving as a member of the DEI Council, Pride Strategy Lead for the Rocky Mountain LGBTQIA+ & Allies Community, and Southwest Hub Bi+ Inclusion Chair
- Engaged in social impact initiatives including co-leading KPI & Impact Measurement efforts for the Rocky Mountain Social Impact Council, volunteering with StepUp Denver to provide consulting services to local nonprofits, and supporting local social impact initiatives
- Spearheaded Denver-based colocation initiatives for various communities, fostering collaboration among professionals and organizing engaging in-office workshares and off-site social events to enhance team cohesion and productivity

Although my ESG & Sustainability team served clients in all industries, I contributed to multiple space-related projects. For instance, I supported the Space Community of Practice (CoP), which connected professionals throughout the firm who share interest in space-related activities. My greatest achievement from these efforts was convening the first-ever firm-wide Space CoP in-person meeting in Washington DC, and subsequently, the first-ever Space CoP co-working day and hybrid (in-person and virtual) reception in Colorado Springs. |
SPACE & SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVE | CU Boulder
I discovered my passion for the space industry.
I joined the Space Sustainability Initiative (SSI) at CU Boulder without any background in space, but soon I was clear on my intent to work in the industry.
I managed the core research team and oversaw the actualization of SSI’s objective to compile best practices from existing industries and advocate for space sustainability in academia and industry globally.
During my time at SSI, I
- Recruited SSI Advisory Board and 3 Advisory Working Groups, coordinating logistics, work products, and delivering on the objectives of each group
- Presented on Social Responsibility in Space at Plenary Session at 2021 International Astronautical Congress, touching on topics including strategies for establishing best practices in space and the role of social responsibility in orbital debris
UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT
I established my career in impact measurement.
